Ghana’s makeup and beauty industry will once again witness the gathering of prominent names within the country and elsewhere, as the first ever Makeup and Beauty Week is set to start on April 25 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel with the African Makeup and Beauty Fair (AMB Fair).

There is a tall list of activities planned for the week-long which seeks to connect the country’s makeup and beauty brands to the rest of Africa, global consumers, vendors, partners and service providers. In Addition to the numerous exhibitions expected from countries like Nigeria etc., workshops, seminars, training, makeup runway show and live demos.

The Opening Ceremony for AMB Fair 2018 will start 9 am Wednesday morning and last all day with Seminars and Beauty Panels with Speakers and Resource Persons such as Grace Amey-Obeng (CEO, FC Group of Companies), Dentaa Amoateng MBE (CEO, GUBA Enterprise – UK) and Kubi Springer (CEO, She Builds Brands – UK).

Furthermore, the 2018 Makeup and Beauty Week is organized by Makeup Ghana with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture under the theme Makeup and Beauty, A catalyst for National Economic Development.

It is generally aimed at projecting the economic impact of the industry, especially in empowering female entrepreneurs and to also celebrate and reward deserving stakeholders in the makeup and beauty industry in Ghana.

And, on Saturday, April 28, the week-long will be climaxed with the 2nd  Ghana Makeup Awards at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra, rewarding the best personalities and brands for their contributions to the industry.
