The 2018 edition of Miss Universe Ghana has been launched with information on what organizers, Malz Promotions are looking for in this year’s contestants. Registration for the Miss Universe Ghana also opened on July 6 to Ghanaians living in the country and the diasporans.

Here are 3 things we took home from the launch:

Registration strictly online

Forms can be picked from the official Website for Miss Universe Ghana, the changes are so because of the diasporans. Organizers want to give equal chance to women in Ghana and outside to make the country proud.

25 Ladies Will Initially be picked and screen down to 14

The Chief Executive Officer of Malz Promotion, Menaye Donkor Muntari explained to a member of our online team that, this year contestants will be 25 in total during the initial stages and they will intend to go through another selection process and cut down to 14 who will then be camp in one apartment. The prize to be given wasn’t announced as we have to wait awhile to get that information but be sure to see a prize similar to what reigning queen, Ruth Quarshie took home.

Tourism

One of the major focus for this year is Tourism, hence the partnership deal signed with the Ministry of Tourism. Art and Culture oversaw by Honourable Catherine Afeku. This affords the contestants the opportunity to know more about the rich tourism sector of Ghana and promote it to the outside world.

Fingers are crossed to see how thrilling auditions and challenging processes leading to the final will take place. Stay with us for more details.
