Clean Eating may sound daunting but it’s a lot easier than you think. Compile these easy and stress-free tips to clean up your diet and nudge your eating habits in the right direction. You won’t regret it.

  1. Drink more water

Everyone preaches it, but do you actually do it!? H20 is the most important thing in your diet. It’s recommended that you drink 8-8 ounce glasses. It’s also key to cleaning up your diet. It can help you lose weight, flush bad toxins out of your system, lead to a healthy heart and reduce your risk of cancer. If you can’t drink that much water, add lemons or limes to make it taste sweet.

  1. Reduce your portion sizes

The easiest way to weight loss is still to eat the same meals but to reduce your portion size. A good way to do this is to use a smaller plate so it looks as if you have more food. Also, try to fill half your plate with vegetables so the majority of what you’re eating is leafy and green.

  1. Replace your snacks with healthier options

Snacking is one of the biggest things that can lead to weight gain. Replacing sweet treats in the form of fruit treats can be so much more beneficial for you. We suggest freezing bananas and popping them in a blender with all of your favourite fruits to make a super tasty and healthy smoothie.

  1. Switch your bad carbs for good carbs

Carbs like potatoes, bread and rice can be bad for you. Switch out these bad ‘white’ carbs for healthier options. Try a sweet potato jacket potato or switch over to brown rice instead. You’ll feel a lot less bloated and healthier in general.

  1. Up your fruit and veg game

Eating more fruit and veg is key. new guidelines recommend at least 7 portions a day. Snack on apples or carrot sticks to begin introducing this in your diet! Why don’t you top your porridge with blueberries or raspberries? Fruit and veg provide a lot of health benefits.
