They say beauty is inside out. Some say beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Others are of the view that beauty is in all sizes. But what was Victoria’s Secret really saying in their #PerfectBody” Campaign in 2014 featuring faces and skinny shaped toned bodies in lingerie?

According to the plus-size retailer Lane Bryant, the campaign ads aim to “celebrate women of all shapes and sizes by redefining society’s traditional notion of sexy with a powerful core message: ALL women are sexy”.

But this is not news. Curvy Kate created a mock to Victoria’s Secret Perfect Body Campaign last year. According to Curvy Kate, “every body is beautiful”.

What is your take on beauty being ascribed with sizes and shapes? Is it overrated or perhaps you think everyone sees differently, yet there’s an unspoken standard for beauty?
