The first runner of the 2017 Miss South Africa beauty pageant, Adè van Heerden has taken over from the queen, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, who is now queen of the universe.
Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters climbed to her new position as Miss Universe 2017 a few days ago when she charmed the judges and audience with her outstanding belief in women empowerment and gender equality.
She has to vacate her position and allow Adè van Heerden to be promoted to Miss South Africa 2017 to see remaining months of her reign.
Adè van Heerden is a medical doctor and lieutenant at Military 2 Hospital in Cape Town and wants to channel her energy in promoting body-positivity, working with the youth of South Africa, and helping young ladies believe in themselves more.
