African Bank Limited Names Basani Maluleke As New Chief Executive Officer

South African-based financial and products service provider, African Bank Limited has named Basani Maluleke to the position of Chief Executive Officer after the retirement of Brian Riley which takes effect from March 31, 2018.

Basani will resume her new position on April 1, 2018. Female business executives are emerging on the continent with an establishment of a new set of standards. She has soared up the ranks of the company to her new position, and like every business organization, it is said, women have to work harder to achieve the same higher position as their male counterpart.

One inspirational figure who has also gone through the process of grooming to be at the top of the business ladder today is Bozoma Saint John, Uber Chief Brand Officer. Before the Uber job, she handed the marketing of Apple, Beats and Pepsi. Her bold character has helped her bring a lot of respect for these brands, she once said in an interview with The Guardian that words like ‘Please’ and Thank You’ get her everything.

And we are certain, Basani who holds B Com LLB and MBA degrees and with vast working experience in the financial industry will achieve a lot as the Chief Executive Officer.
