Music in the African continent is growing every day at a rapid pace. Afrobeat is fast becoming the biggest genre started mostly in Ghana and Nigeria, and consumed by a large global audience.
Everyone is talking about the genre reaching the next height in the music world and bringing in investors and nurturing new talents to take over the burton. The most talked-about festival at the moment – The Afro Nation Festival is championing that with shows in Portugal and Ghana.
Lining up revered names in the Afrobeat, dancehall and reggae world, starting from Wizkid, Davido, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Burna Boy, Alkaline, to the newest talents from Ghana Kidi, Kuami Eugene, Wendy Shay, Medkial, the list is endless.
The August edition happening in Portugal starts from the 1st to the 4th before moving to Ghana in December and occupy 27th and 30th. The festival has arrived in Ghana at the right time as it is also the year of return in Ghana, where Africans living outside the continent are coming back to the country to reunite and connect with their cultures.
