Key on the menu for Plussize Fashion Week Africa is body positivity and self-confidence for all the participating models. Not many plus-size models get the chance to strut the runway as they should, hence, the call for diversity in the modelling industry to level the playing field for all.

The second season of the fashion show is dedicated to plus-sized African women is taking place November 3 and 4, 2018, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, with shows from established and emerging designers. This is to expose all designers to the ready market that will be available during the event and on the final day, organizers will launch the ‘Glow up and Flawless’ masterclass program to empower all the models. The final day will close with The Fashion Gala Night which is set to be an exclusive event where awards will be given to those who have contributed immensely to the Plussize industry in Africa.

Furthermore, all the models for this year are supposed to be registered to the Golden Curvy Modelling Agency and the theme is #BeautifullyMe’.
