Looks like this year is going to be the one true year for actors, producers, directors, promoters and other key industry insiders across the world will pay critical attention to injustice on women within the industry.
Following the ‘Time’s Up’ movement that took over the Golden Globe awards last month, with the media mogul, Opera Winfrey delivering the best speech that seeks to collectively tell every woman suffering from any form of abuse to open and speak up.
At the 71st British Academy Film Awards at Royal Albert Hall, London compère by actress Joanna Lumley on February 18, 2018. Celebrities came on the red carpet carrying the ‘Time’s Up’ movement with them, they replicated the all-black outfits once again to empower women.
Actors and other industry players including Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, AJ Odudu, Naomie Harris, Rungano Nyoni, Daniel Kaluuya, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Frances Aaternir, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Andrea Riseborough, Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, Marai Larasi, Tessa, Thompson, Afua Hirsch, Naomie Harris etc. attended the award show.
