Half of a Yellow Sun author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has been honoured with the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction. In light of the awards 20th anniversary, a panel of judges were asked to select the best novel over the last decade. Pitted against nine other writers, it was the Nigerian author who came out tops.
Half of a Yellow Sun is a fictional novel which was published in 2006 and it takes a look at the lives of three characters during the Biafran War in Nigeria.
