We’ve heard a lot of things Black Panther-related ever since it made it cinema debut. Movie lovers in the world can’t rest, Africans are overzealously happy about the focus on the right interpretation of our culture and bringing back rich heritage that must be passed on to the next generation.
It wasn’t just the men that blew the minds of movie-lovers that trooped to the cinemas to catch a glimpse of the film but the women too. Side by side, they stood with the men and fought for the protection of the technologically advanced nation of Wakanda.
When the director, Ryan Coogler of the film was interviewed at 2018 Cannes Film Festival, a lot of questions relating to the success of the film and the star performances were thrown at him. He confirmed the success was overwhelming, he also responded to a question that suggested there should be an all-female version of Black Panther with ’Oh Man, that would be amazing if the opportunity came up’.
As if that wasn’t enough, young stand out star of the film, Letitia Wright took to her twitter page to pledge her support for all female remake of Black Panther.
So, we want to ask, should more female superhero films be on our screens? Sound-off in the comments below.
