The original ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ is setting up a foundation- Veronica Adeleke Education Scholarship program, in honour of his late mother which will kick off this year. And he has promised to sponsor students to the university every year through its machinery.
The ‘Aye’ singer who also has a multi million dollar deal with Sony BMG, took to his instagram to share his latest philanthropic endeavour stressing that “so may people deserve education.” He announced that he will start the scholarship programme with 4 students this year and continue as the years progress.
Heres what he said:
“So many people deserve education.. Starting from this year I plan to start the Veronica Adeleke Education Scholarship program .. I plan to send people to school every year … I’m starting from 4 students this year details will be released soon on how to apply…. DO YOUR PART TO MAKE THE WORLD BETTER , EVEN IF YOU START SMALL .. AT LEAST START! OBO!”
This announcement comes after Davido took to Instagram to honour his father, chief adeleke, revealing that students graduating from the billionaire’s privately owned- Adeleke University were on various scholarship programmes sponsored by the older Adeleke.
“Too proud of my father,” God bless you for all of us, sir. Love you too much!” Davido had remarked when he shared the news.
It’s good to see that the billionaire heir who’s big in the music industry also has a big heart.
Well done Davido!
