We are grateful to be in an era where our society is no longer praising a certain body type, shape or colour. Women all over the world are encouraged to be happy with their bodies and not be in an unhealthy strive to attain a certain societal standard.

Although it has taken us a while to get here as Africans, the shift about standards and what is acceptable is steadily changing and we couldn’t be more grateful.

In the entertainment space, we’ve seen plus size women who are fashionable, classy and breaking glass ceilings in their careers. Today is Friday and we must discuss fashion, let’s take a moment and appreciate the style of these three African queens.

Peace Hyde

Peace Hyde is a British Ghanaian TV personality and media entrepreneur. She is the founder of Aim Higher Africa, a not for profit improving education by using ICT. She is also the Forbes West Africa Correspondent and is the current the head of digital media and partnerships for Forbes Africa.

She’s popularly known on her Instagram  @peac_hy as a faith builder. Her captions encourage you to keep working hard and always be the best version of yourself.

Tolu Oniru

Aka Toolz, is a Nigerian radio personality, talk show host, and presenter. She is best known for hosting The Midday Show on The Beat 99.9 FM where she is doing a great job.
