Today, we’re looking at multi-award winning freelance food writer, celebrity TV chef and food judge chef Siba Mtongana.
Sibahle Mtongana, professionally known as Siba Mtongana is a South African celebrity chef known as the host of the Cooking Channel show Siba’s Table. She is currently a judge on Chopped South Africa, alongside Jenny Morris and David van Staden.
Married to Brian Mtongana with a beautiful daughter named Buhlebe, Siba been honored by publications including Mail & Guardian newspaper, Cosmopolitan SA magazine, Destiny magazine, O Magazine and more. She was a judge on Masterchef season 1 in 2012 and one of the main judges on Chopped SA season 1 in 2014.
She earned her degree in food and consumer sciences with majors in food, food science and nutrition from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Cape Town. There, she mentored and tutored academically struggling students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
She is the author of the bestselling cookbook, My Table. Siba was also just included in Tropics Magazine list of 40 Most Influential Africans Shaping the Future of Africa.
