Killi Mi throws the light of the trauma many women face in relationships.
With most of the word carefully constructed in GA, a dialect in Ghana, the 2019 female vocalist of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and Vodafone Ghana Music Icons 2104 finalist, signed to Universal Music Group Nigeria, brings the attention of the world and music lovers on the various forms of physical and emotional violence from men on women.
The Gene Adu directed video sees Cina Soul, 23, born Christie Quincyna Quarcoopome, being constantly abused by the love of her life but with no one on her side, not even her family, she is forced and pushed to deal with the situation on her own. Riding brilliantly with a masterclass delivery on a low tempo RnB production by Nii Quaye makes the song and the message easy to understand.
In a message posted on her socials, Cina Soul drew the attention of her fans to the reason behind the song by stating that she learnt about violence against women, hence her decision to craftily plant and use her medium for wider education and create awareness.
