Previous editions of All Africa Music Awards have been rated as the best music event on the continent, some have gone ahead to compare it to the Grammys, classifying it as the African version with potential to unite musicians on the continent.

The goal for the AFRIMA has been simple and that is to throw a bright light on African musicians and expose them to the rest of the world. All attention turned to 2018 showdown but before then, the calendar unveiling for the main show is on the table for discussion as it has been planned to take place at the plush Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra, Ghana on May 21, 2018.

Therefore, stars all over the continent ranging from 2Baba, Sarkodie, Seyi Shay, Efya, Kidi, Kuame Eugene, Stanley Enow have arrived in Ghana. After a quick drive through Accra, a dinner night was set up for familiarization and talks about the event at Sky Bar 25 and ended at Sandbox beach.
