This could be Lupita Nyong’o’s simplest way of putting to bed the long-standing food battle between some African countries. Ghana and Nigeria have been in friendly loggerheads with each other over who cooks the best Jollof rice in West Africa.

Celebrities from both countries also lend their support to where it must belong, with social media being the main ground for this settlement. Several hashtags were created – #JollofWar #GhanaCooksBetterJollof #NigerianJollofIsTheBest amongst others.

Not long ago, A-list Hollywood film stars of African origin, Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira were in Nigeria to carry out research on a new mini-series they are working on around Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Americanah novel.

 Lupita has documented her star in Nigeria and may have just settled the Jollof Batlle by declaring her love for Nigerian Jollof. See her post below.
