We can’t hold back appreciating honourable men from the land of Africa who are imparting the world positively with their talents and acquired knowledge. Okwui Enwezor is a Nigerian curator, art critic, writer, poet, and educator, specializing in art history.
He is an an odd cross between diplomat and curator, as evidenced by his sophisticated satorial style, under which there lurks, however, the heart of a passionate intellectual who has always been dedicated to redefining the boundaries of contemporary art.
He lives in New York and Munich. In 2011, he was ranked 24 in the ArtReview list of the 100 most powerful people of the art world in 2014.
Such stories of men in the same land I find myself are inspiring enough. There are living legends, and men leaving legacies for our generations and the ones to come; yet, we all have 24hrs at our disposal.
