Pushing for the narratives around Africa to change for good will take a collective effort by all Africans. ARISE TV news anchor, Idia Aisien has taken the bold steps to effect that change for Africa with the launch of her Non-Governmental Organization called IDIA (International Development Initiative in Africa).

The project basically seeks to bring into the limelight positive results achieved by Africans in education, politics, entertainment et al instead of always concentrating on the negatives (sometimes false reports about the continent) information.

IDIA project is looking at eradicating poverty promote sustainable growth and development, integrate Africa in the world economy, and accelerate the empowerment of women, men and children by telling the other half of the story.

The International Development Initiative in Africa seeks to attract increased investment, capital flow and funding; by instilling hope and a renewed faith in Africa through providing an Africa-owned framework and narrative for development. Standing as the continent’s media partner and platform to showcase its progress at regional and international levels through our reports.
