Idris Elba & Netflix Are Working Together On ‘Turn Up Charlie’ Comedy Series

After releasing his family drama In The Long Run, the actor is creating another series, Turn Up Charlie, this time with streaming giant, Netflix, he will executive produce and star in it according to hollywoodreporter.

Idris Elba seems to have found love for self-producing his own work in lately, maybe the feedback received from viewers after watching, In The Long Run, has motivated him to come up with this new series which takes the line of comedy.

It is premature for the names of co-stars featuring in the series and the release date too. But, for now, we know, the script will be developed by Laura Neal, Femi Oyeniran and Victoria Asare-Archer. In addition to these genius writers, Gary Reich and Tristram Shapeero are going to work with Elba in the executive producer role for the 8 episode of season 1.
