The message in This Is Nigeria by Falz was crystal clear revealing social, political and economic problems affecting Nigerians in general. These factors though the truth, they didn’t go down well with some of the citizens who were of the thought that Falz exposed a lot about the country.
As a musician, sending the right message at the right time was paramount in his decision to release a cover of Childish Gambino’s This Is America by translating it into the Nigerian version.

At least he has been given the platform to state his true intention for working on the song and releasing it to the public, he spoke to BBC Africa’s Usifo Umozokpea.
