Stellie Meghie’s directed rom-com is serving all kinds of pure black love.
The Photograph stars Issa Rae who plays Mae Morton and Lakeith Standfield as Michael Block – a journalist who is penning a length feature on the career of Issa mother who mysterious passed away but left behind a black and white photograph that contains all her secrets.

in the just-released official first trailer, Michael introduces himself and why he is writing a feature on Issa’s mother, the two immediately established connection with each other which led to series black love moments in the movie. Other casts of the movie include Y’Lan Noel, Roxane Roxane‘s Chanté Adams, Rob Morgan, and more, The Photograph will hit theatres on February 14th, 2020.
Issa Rae is dominating the screens right now, her new movie about music titled Rap Sh*t will debut on HBO Max, plus other productions she working on and her record label, Raedio which up and running.
