We just love celebrity couples on social media, they are the cutest! Yesterday musician, style icon and the new face of Revlon, Ciara, turned 31. (Does she even look a day over 25?)
But the Instagram message her husband Russell Wilson, left her was so beyond sweet:
Shorthly after, both Ciara and Russell but to bed rumours of a new arrival by announcing their pregnancy on social media.
As we have just rounded up our Social Media Issue, we have been obsessing over the role it plays on our everyday lives and significant moments over a lifetime.
If it’s not through a fashion show runway (we think back to Nandi Madida) or the Red Carpets of award season (like Kerry Washington earlier this year), social media is the fastest, and most convenient, way to make announcements, be that a declaration of love or the expectation of a new baby.
Whilst this mode of communication works for celebrities (after all how else will they let their fans what’s going on?) the impersonal nature may not be so easily imitated in the ‘normal’ life.
What do you think Glam Squad? Would you be offended if your friend or family member told you they were engaged on Facebook or Instagram instead of in person?
