It was horrifying how fast Madonna globally trended on Twitter after her backwards tumble down the stairs during her performance at the 2015 BRIT Awards held at London’s O2 Arena. Fans were so quick to create hilarious and witty memes that trended all over the internet, especially on Twitter.
The victim herself, Madonna, 56, quickly brushes the unpleasant incident off in her response minutes after leaving the stage, thanking designer Armani for the cape and explaining how it all went so wrong; “Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up!” The memes were circulating across oceans, by then.
The absorbing part was the ironic lines in her song after her ‘epic fall’ when she had to battle to get back up in her performance mode… ‘pick me up’… ‘now that it’s over I’m gonna carry on’
