May is often the season my personal make up gets a refresh, I like to think of it as a spring clean. As the weather gets warmer, my foundation gets dewier and I sway away from matte liquid lipsticks often reaching for my trusted MAC ‘Angel’ or a No.7 lip gloss. There’s been some HOT products newly launched this season which I just HAVE to talk about. I’ve decided to compile what I recommend as the top 5 beauty products that you just have to get your hands on this month. You’ll be perfecting your Spring make up look in no time!

  1. EVE LOM RADIANCE FACE MIST

There is something I just love about a radiant and dewy look this time of year. Being too Matte just looks way too cakey. I love the brand new Eve Lom Radiance Face Mist. Yes, it may set you back £38 (UK price, that is), but it won’t just set your make up in place for longer, but also keep your skin hydrated and protect it from pollution.

  1. MASQ MAKE UP BRUSHES

New on the scene are these brand new swanky make up brushes. We all know having the perfect set of tools for your make up can set you back a fair few pennies, but we love the fact that MASQ advocate being affordable but of a high quality. Starting from £4 a brush, these are the ultimate go to for your kit.

  1. IMAN LUXURY CONCEALING FOUNDATION

Iman is defo one of the most sought after brands in the African community, so when they announced a brand new full coverage foundation with an excellent selection of dark shades? Ummmmm? Yes please! I’m listening. This foundation is super affordable and is shipped globally. What’s not to love?

  1. FENTY BEAUTY SUMMER DAZE/SUMMER NIGHTS IRIDESCENT LIP LUMINZER TRIO

Since Queen RiRi blessed us with her all inclusive make up brand last year, I have been obsessing over Fenty Beauty. Brand new in the last week, her new Lip Luminzers are available to order online for worldwide delivery. These holographic glosses come in a range of colours with a gorgeous shift to them. Pop these over your lips for a sheer wash of island vibe hues. They’ve definitely got the Glam Africa stamp of approval!

5. TOAS COSMETICS GLOW PALETTE

Okay, this one might be a little bit more ‘new –ish’ but we can’t do a beauty post and not mention Toas Cosmetics. This fun, sassy and edgy brand is swiftly on it’s way to not just becoming a Nigerian number 1, but perhaps, um, a global force to reckon with? We love their new glow palette of golden highlighters. Not only are they perfect for African skin, the pigment is amazing! Highlighter is also perfect for summer. You should defo check out this Instagram brand.
