It’s the run way and former global head, marketing, Apple streaming music service, is the only star to grace its path.
Tech Executive, Bozoma Afiba Maamekyi Asnatewa Arthur Saint John will be leaving Apple to join Uber- the prestigious car services in the World for an executive position as the Chief Brand Officer for Uber Technologies -a technology company headquartered in San Francisco operating car transportation and food delivery mobile apps.
According to Billboard charts, Bozoma, during her 10 year period with Pepsi, just before joining Apple, acquired a number of sponsorship for music events for the brand, such as, FANfest, MTV Video Music Awards, the Grammy; and landed a whooping deal of up to $50 million with Beyounce, and negotiated deals with ace celebrities in the likes of Nikki Minaj, Kanye West, Kathy Perry, Hunter Hayes amongst others.
Speaking to business Insider in June 2016, Acharia- Bath, friend of Saint John, describes her “as a force of nature.” exclaiming that”….in all seriousness, I was blown away with her in our very first meeting. She inspires me everyday with her fearless nature.”
Boz relocated to the United States with her Ghanaian parents when she was just 14, but later graduated from the Wesleyan University, Colorado.
The wow moment came for Saint John when in the World Wide Developers Conference, wearing a chic pink dress, “Boz” as known on social media, stole the show with her performance of Sugarhill’s “Rapper’s Delight.” Journalists tagged the moment her “breakthrough” moment while twitter went ablaze with praises for the “next CEO of Apple”.
Promoting music-work life, Bozoma says, “the power of pop is real, if you can harness it, passion should meet your professional life; and i’m a living breathing testament to that.”
