We informed you HERE that Glam Africa and MOBO have partnered to put together an event taking place next week in central London. This event will host an exceptional panel of leading individuals from the British fashion and creative industryall of whom are great successes in their fields, this includes Zainab Van Du, Cobbie Yates, Arieta Mujay, Ade Bamgbala, Sabrina Sarpong and moderated by Sky News Editor, Afua Hirsch.

Afua Hirsch [Editor at Sky News] – MODERATOR

Afua is a journalist, barrister and human rights development worker of Ghanaian and English heritage. She began her career in journalism as a legal correspondent for The Guardian, currently, she works at Sky News as their Social Affairs and Education Editor in early 2014.

Zainab Van Du [Product Development Coordinator, Burberry | Creative Director, Zainab Van Du]

Having starred in and won Sky Living’s fashion reality TV show ‘Styled To Rock’, Zainab can  count the likes of Rihanna , Little Mix and the Scissor Sisters as part of her ever growing client roster. The Fashion graduate splits her time between her own fashion label faocusing on bomber jackets and developing the Men’s accessories collection at British luxury fashion giant Burberry.

Sabrina Sarpong [Marketing and PR Manager, G-Star RAW]

Sabrina comes with bags of experience across business, finance and marketing across the worlds of entertainment, fashion and music. She has worked with companies from the likes of Barclaycard, Microsoft, LVMH, Puma x McQ and currently fronts he G-Star RAW brand, as Marketing and PR Manager for the UK.

Cobbie Yates [Celebrity Stylist]

Known best for working as personal stylist for the likes of Jessie J and Cara Delavigne, Cobbie Yates is respected in the competitive world of celebrity styling. Cobbie has also worked as a personal shopper at Selfridges and for the likes of Justin Bieber and Conor Maynard.

Arieta Mujay [Arieta Mujay, Stylist, Consultant, PR Executive]

Arieta has worked in the British fashion scene for over 15yrs in different capacities including as a stylist, as a fashion PR executive and in fashion publishing. To date she has worked for GAP, RED magazine, Just 19, Boohoo, River Island, New Look and on projects for PR Guru Sarah Walter, Rihanna, the British Fashion Council amongst others. As a stylist, Arieta can count the likes of Kelly Rowland, Alesha Dixon, Pixie Lott and Lily Allen as clients.

Ade Bamgbala [Digital Marketer, Public Speaker, Founder of Blacticulate Podcast] 

Digital marketing consultant, Ade Bamgbala is the brainchild behind Blacticulate, a podcast supported by Swedish podcasting app and web service Acast, Blacticulate’s mission is to present the diverse range in which the Black community articulates. Ade Bamgbala is also a public speaker and  a member of Google’s Digital Garage team, speaking at events about the importance of digital for businesses.


‘Fashion Talk’ by MOBO and Glam Africa will broadcast live on Facebook. This is recommended for those who are unable to physically attend or those residing in other parts of the world.
