We love it when women break boundaries and make history. Zimbabwean Captain Chipo M. Matimba and Captain Elizabeth Simbi Petros made history by becoming the first all female flight deck crew in Zimbabwe.
The two made their historic debut when they flew Air Zimbabwe’s Boeing 737 from the country’s capital Harare to Victoria Falls.
The excited Captain Matimba wrote via social media: “History has been made! First all female flight deck crew on the Air Zimbabwe Boeing 737! Two CAPTAINS!! Absolute pleasure Captain Elizabeth Simbi Petros! #FLYBABES. #PaintingTheSkyPink!”.
