As the guest-editor for the September issue of British Vogue Magazine, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle brought together women of diverse backgrounds with a common goal of creating a standard playfield for equality.
If there is anything that the Duchess of Sussex can do in her powers as Editor of Vogue, it’s getting an interview with the Former First Lady of the United States Of America, and she did just that! In the issue that will be on newsstand on August 2, 2019, the author of Becoming, Michelle Obama got candid with the Duchesses, and even hosted her in a live-action interview for a lucky audience.
The interview focused on Michelle Obama’s different ways of parenting in raising her two daughters, Malia Ann and Sasha Obama to challenge themselves to attain the best in life while creating their own paves along the way. She also touched on the kinds of advice she would give her daughters and if it would have changed had they been boys. In answering that, Michelle narrated her own upbringing bwith her parents; detailing how whatever her father bought for her brother, he would get for her too.
Another hot topic was her foundation; Girls Opportunity Alliance, where Michelle Obama gave an alarming figure of about 98 million adolescent girls in the world, who are not in schools are the moment. The foundation is in place to emphasise on the need for girl-child education, this could change a lot of things at home and society in general.
