Imagine the best sounds of Africa under one atmosphere, showcased in the art of photography –Afrobeat, Hi-Life, Fuji, Tcha Echo  and Makosa from established and emerging contemporary performers like Angelique Kidjo, Seun Kuti, Salawa Abeni, Hugh Masekela, Fatoumata Diawara, 2face Indibia.

Scheduled to be held at the Menier Gallery in London, the exhibition sets off from August 26th to 30th with a private view being held on Tuesday, 25th August at 6pm-9pm at Menier Gallery, 51 Southwark Street, London, SE1 1RU

Here is a brief bio on Michael Tubi, known as Michael Tube;

Michael Tubi is a British born African Heritage portrait and documentary photojournalist based in London. His artistic medium consists predominantly of photography, while also incorporating videography to express his artistic vision.

Tubi curated ‘Sounds Of Africa’ with the aim of bringing new audiences to experience the variety and richness of contemporary African Music.

“My hope for the exhibition is to promote a unique perspective of African music through popular and progressive African artists that embody the development of the continent.”
