Former first lady of the United States of America, Michelle Obama has thrown her support behind the black superhero movie – Black Panther.
Noted to be one of the biggest movies to ever hit the world cinemas because of its storyline which celebrates Black history and culture in diverse ways. Black Panther has already achieved and broken cinema records with $218m on its first weekend of release within February. And from the look of things and taking into consideration the support it is getting, we are certain it will break more records soon.
Mrs Obama sent her congratulatory message via Twitter to the makers of the movie. She thanked them for making such a story which is going to serve us an inspiration to several young people to be heroes on their own.
Black Panther features a long list of black Hollywood favourites; Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya to mention but a few and was directed by, Ryan Coogler.
