South African record producer, Black Coffee is on a positive mission to change the image of the continent and when the opportunity presented itself at the Midem Music Festival 2018, he made his intention for the continent clear.

Africa’s image on the world stage hasn’t really been good, we see that in the kind of movies that are released about Africa, the news reports and several other information that could be described as an old representation of the continent. The continent has achieved a greater level of success in recent times and Black Coffee wants the rest of the world to focus on that.

As a true representative of Africa on the world stage, Black Coffee is looking at ushering in a new era of fusing technology with music to generate money for musicians. Plans for the launch of his new music app called GongBox is in its advanced state. The app is similar to iTunes, which means musicians can upload their content to be streamed by fans.

The Midem Music Festival Began on June 5 and will end on June 8, 2018, in Cannes, France.
