Miss Germany Pageant is overlooking the conventional definition of beauty by changing the norm and introducing a new way through its national pageant.
The 2020 edition allowed mothers, pregnant women, married women, cancelled Bikini competition, and raised the age limit to ten years further. Therefore, women from eighteen to thirty years can now participate in the future contest, as opposed to the standards practice for many years. This year’s contest was under the theme – Empowering Authentic Women.

Namibian-born online entrepreneur, Leonie Von Hase, 35, was the oldest in this year’s contest, she was declared the winner by all women jury at the Europa Park Arena. Leonie von Hase won the Schleswig-Holstein contest last year, before proceeding to join Miss Germany 2020 pageant.
”Women have not been interested in striving for a conventional standard of beauty for a long time now, my perception of a ‘beautiful’ woman is the strength, character and authenticity she radiates,” Leonie Von Hase told the official website.
Is it likely that other countries or beauty pageants will follow in the footsteps of Miss Germany board?
