Miss SA Demi-Leigh Nel Peters was involved in a hijacking late Wednesday night.
According to the statement, Miss SA was in Johannesburg when she was approached by three armed hijackers but fortunately she managed to exit her car and drive away. The security company managed to recover her car and handbag later.
South Africa’s Minister of Police, Fikile Mbalula released a statement on the matter via Twitter.
“No resources will be spared in the fight against crime. Enough is enough was two decades ago, now is the time to take the war against crime directly to these enemies of the people,” the statement read.
We are glad Miss SA account confirmed Demi-Leigh is safe and sound.
