Have you ever been disliked just because you are too pretty and smart? if no, then you might not know the pain the newly crown Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green went through growing. If yes, you probably know how it feels.
Tamaryn revealed during an interview session with Sowetanlive about her journey to becoming the queen of South Africa. And on top of her challenge list growing up was the fact that she was pretty, tall and spoke good English. She was teased for possessing these qualities and as a child, she felt she was cursed.
But support from family kept her moving, and now she is the proud queen. Introduced to a new life of travelling around performing her duty as a queen. And, using her position to touch lives in South Africa and around the world.
She will be joining other contestants around the world at the Miss Universe World competition to be held in the Philippians where Former Miss South Africa, Demi-Leigh will crown her successor.
