Since winning the coveted crown and climbed the throne as the new Miss Universe Queen, Ruth Quarshie has been restless in her quest to improve lives in her community. She joined Miss Universe Nigeria 2017, Stephanie Agbasi in Nigeria for cleft correction surgery for kids, in January, the project was powered by Smile Train.

Since she returned back to Ghana, she has been touring and partaking in a few fashion projects lined for the African fashion season which kick-started across the continent. Ruth walked the runway for Luxury Ghanaian fashion house, Christie Brown to commemorate the brand’s 10-years anniversary for delivering top class designs to Ghanaians and more.

Inspired to do a lot more, she and other contestants in the 2017 competition teamed up for Queen Angel community project to donate items comprising mainly of Clothes to Ejumako Ntumire, the town she comes from in the Central region of Ghana. she was then enstooled as Queen of Development in the town.
