African history is so rich, the rest of the world keeps coming back to take inspiration from it. The BBC Africa’s Women Who Changed the World docu-series is a collection of visual stories that celebrates some of the best warriors on the continent especially the female ones like The Dahomey Mothers of Amazons.

The Dahomey Mothers (Ancient)

The story dates back to a time when an all-female army was trained to protect the Kingdom of Dahomey, now Benin. These Females did their work to perfection so much so that they became the most feared warriors in the kingdom and to date, their story is echoed across the continent.

The new episode is part of a series of eight, and it’s all we want to watch all day long!
