Marvel Studios and its parent company, The Walt Disney Company have achieved more than many have imagined with the film ‘Black Panther’ starring majority-black characters – Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, Chadwick Boseman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, more and directed by Ryan Coogler.

Breaking more records prior to its scheduled worldwide release date of February 16, 2018, and getting a whole soundtrack album produced and curated by, Kendrick Lamar.

All these in addition to the dimension taken by the makers to allow diasporans and Africans on the continent to take a second look at embracing authentic African fashion, honestly, everything around the film magnificently eulogizes black people.

However, a new petition on submitted by Chaz Gormley made reference to the key marketing campaigns employed to draw more black people to watch it, one, is the release date in February, generally regarded as Black History Month.

Furthermore, he asks that 25 percent of the worldwide profits from the movie be invested in elevating educational projects in science, technology, engineering and mathematics in black communities, to make possible to achieve real-life ‘Wakanda’ nation in future.  And, at the time of writing this, 5,721 have signed the petition out of 7,500.
