Over the past years, black Hollywood stars have dominated our screens with their talents, and we have enjoyed every bit of it. A movie like Black Panther has added to the ever-growing taste for black cast in the biggest movie industry in the world.
Nigerian born actress, Sope Aluko is the latest screen favourite after she made an appearance in Marvel Studio’s Black Panther. Sony Pictures have recruited her for its new production title ‘Venom’ directed by Ruben Fleischer. Other cast members of the film include; Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze and Reid Scott, written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Amy Pascal are producing the new film while David Householter and Stan Lee take care of the executive production works.
Cast and crew members of Black Panther have gained a lot of applauds for showcasing the beautiful African culture to the globe. However, details of Sope’s new role and the plot of the movie has not been released yet. But, only that, it is going to be Spider-man-centric and is scheduled to be officially out on October 5, 2018.
