Africa has produced more writers who are doing so well here and outside with Hollywood being the prefered destination, Nigerian-American fantasy, Science and Speculative fiction writer Nnedi Okorafor has had a great 2017. Most of her works have received overwhelming reception, she announced an upcoming HBO series based on her novel, ‘Who Fears Death’ plus a whole in 2017.

The celebrated writer and motivational speaker who continues to push the agenda for locally written sci-fi, is kicking 2018 in a victory mood as her popular novel, ‘Hello, Moto’ is made into an Afrofuturistic film titled ‘Hello, Rain’.

Production of the film was done in Lagos, Nigeria by Oge Obasi and directed by CJ Obasi basing the narration on a black woman who uses her superpowers to creates wigs for her close friends.
