Launched in 2017 by Dr Chichi Menakaya, the Okwusi Frocentric, a philanthropic venture capital focuses on inspiring individuals through fashion. Dr Chichi who is a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon has her heart and soul invested solely in this project to put smiles on the faces of others.
She allows survivors to create pieces alongside herself, embellished with African culture and style in every design and still maintaining a bit of the Western style.
Her second passion is effecting change and she founded and runs a charity which supports survivors of gender-based violence in the United Kingdom and Africa. As part of the project, she runs a business empowerment scheme in Africa which equips grass root survivors with means of ensuring financial freedom.
