Based on the success of her recent book “On Becoming” on the African market, Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has launched an initiative which seeks to tackle different issues within our societies.

Toke Makinwa shared her story from childhood to her present state as a celebrity with her fanbase across the world in ‘On Becoming’, she toured different countries on the continent with it and she had great feedback.

And, as part of her small way of giving back to society, she has launched the ‘On Becoming Empowered Initiative’ where each year she will try and meet the needs of people in a particular sector.

30 young entrepreneurs were selected by panellists, they had brunch with Toke and other influential business people like Adebola Williams, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Tallulah Doherty, Stephanie Coker-Aderinokun, Anita Brows Adetoye, Gbubemi Fregene and Bolanle Olukanni, they shared their success stories with these young entrepreneurs.

1 million Naira was awarded to 3 young entrepreneurs and 500,000 to one lucky winner, she shared the process with her fanbase on social media and promised to take a look at the educational sector next year.
