Aaron Wallace, Founder of Shear & Shine, Nominated for groundbreaking awards ceremony, honouring the Best of BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) talent!

Aaron Wallace has been nominated for The Entrepreneur Of The Year Award at The BEAM Awards 2016. News of the launch of his new  Shear & Shine Grooming range for afro-caribbean men went viral earlier this year, with mentions in both national and international publications. Aaron has since managed to get his line of Shampoo, Conditioners, Beard Oil and Aftershaves stocked in selected retail stores in the UK and in France.

The ceremony will be televised on ITV1 and hosted by the legendary Sir Trevor MacDonald OBE and the phenomenal Miss Alesha Dixon. The glittering ceremony will be held at The London Palladium on Wednesday 12th October 2016 and will highlight influential figures in the world of Celebrity, Sport, Film, Music, Journalism, Politics and Business, and promises to profile, empower and acknowledge their extraordinary feats.

Host of The BEAM Awards 2016, Sir Trevor MacDonald OBE said, “I am delighted to have been asked to be a part of these Awards. They have become increasingly important in our society and will continue to be so.”

The BEAM Awards have attracted the support from a growing list of BAME Icons including Saira Choudhry, Yasmin Evans and Eastenders Actors Nitin Ganatra & Ricky Norwood who had the following to say, ‘I am so happy and honoured to be able to support The BEAM Awards 2016. Beam has been shining a light on all of those under represented in the creative industry. But I do have to ask why. Why in this world, and in this industry and in 2016, are we still having to fight to be seen, to be hear and ultimately to be equal’

‘Diversity is truly lacking across the media industry and mainstream award ceremonies’, said Founder Paul Sesay.

‘If ever there was a time to celebrate and elevate the truly staggering diverse talent the UK has to offer, it is now. The BEAM Awards aims to bring communities together and highlight the phenomenal achievements of BAME icons nationwide. We have a fundamental passion to drive change and make a lasting and sustainable difference across the media industry and beyond.’

The countdown for nominations begins as submissions close on Sunday, September 4th 2016. The winners of each award category will be announced at the glittering ceremony on Wednesday 12th October 2016 at The London Palladium.
