Nigeria’s sensational vocalist, Simi is out with the visuals for her new highlife classic – Selense.
The singer touched on time management in the single, taking storylines from social issues, love, marriage, work and more. She tells listeners, about the importance of time, avoiding procrastination, and working on your dreams immediately.
“Selense is a song about time,” Simi reveals to OkayAfrica. “The song draws inspiration from classic African highlife. A timeless classic that is perfect for all seasons,” she added.
This single follows her recent collaboration with Mr Eazi – Doyin, whose distribution platform – Empawa Africa, Selense has been released on. The African highlife song had the video directed by Adasa Cookey.

Having said that, Simi has established her name on the African and world music maps with several hit albums, including Omo Charlie Champagne Vol. 1, Simisola and a collaborative extended play with Falz – Chemistry.
Simi keeps winning hearts with the stories attached to her singles and albums, she dedicated Omo Charlie Champagne Vol. 1 to her dad.
She is married to fellow Nigerian highlife singer, Adekunle Gold, in a strictly by invitation wedding ceremony in 2019.
