There is a new range of beauty products that everyone is talking about for all the right reasons you could think of, the name is Sinai Beauty, founded by former beauty queen Esther Anima Titi-Lartey. The beauty brand started as a hobby for Esther, who was making different beauty products at home for self-use, then she was motivated by close friends and family to turn it into a business that she could earn money from.

But, Esther wasn’t interested in making just the money without delivering the best quality of products to her imminent clients, so she took time to research very well into how and which natural ingredients to properly mix to arrive at a skin-care result. If you have noticed, naturally made-skin care products are becoming the most sort after, because, there are no side effect after using them. Hence, Esther focused her research on how to use Coconut oil and shea butter which are very common in Ghana, her country of birth. We spoke to Esther find out more about her brand, how the journey started and what the future looks like for her.

Tell us where the whole idea for Sinai Beauty came from?

I was making my own products at home – sugar scrubs and things like that. People were always complimenting me on my skin so I thought, how can I  make my products for the mass market? I did my research into what I could put into skin care products and the different formulations too. I didn’t want it to just be an ordinary beauty company – I wanted it to have a purpose.

You’ve started off with five hero products; the Whipped Shea Butter,  the  Black Clay and Liquorice Brightening Face Mask, the Acai & Goji  Berry Microdermabrasion Scrub, the Vitamin  ACE  Facial Serum and the Vitamin  ACE Moisturiser. Why those for the initial range?

I wanted a line of products that would bring out the natural radiance of a person’s skin.  Because our skin is a living cell, to rejuvenate the skin cells you have to have products that can penetrate  the first layer.  So that’s why I have the serum with Vitamin  A that goes through the first layer of the skin cells and creates that radiant look.  The moisturiser along with the serum and the masque rejuvenate and bring back the natural radiance to the skin.  Everyone has a new found love of shea butter so I thought it was great to include that in the brand and the scrub is great to remove dead skin cells.  But the brand is  also about empowering women as a whole, not just with skin, and I do that by writing personal blog posts on the Sinai website.

What’re products do you have in the pipeline?

I would like to create a face wash and then I would like to branch into makeup. The next step after taking care of the skin is applying your foundation, your concealer, your contour sticks so I would like to create a complete range. In terms of the character building, we plan to open a studio where we would hold women’s empowerment events. It ’ll be a place that women can come and have their whole being rejuvenated.
