Here we go again! 2018 has begun with yet another heated debate popping up online, and racism is the main point of discussion. on twitter right now, this came about after Swedish multinational clothing-retail company Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) is being dragged over new adverts rolled out to promote their hoodies as one of the promotional photos see a young black boy in a hoodie with bold inscriptions that read; ‘Coolest Monkey in the Jungle‘.
Twitter users especially have gone crazy and comments calling the company to either apologize or withdraw the adverts from their site have been pouring in since yesterday.
The prevalent question has been: why was the black boy made to wear the hoodie and not others?
