We can be the change we want to see in the world starting from our little ways and gradually turning that into an exceptionally good work that will be accepted by everyone who is so enthused about the idea of change in a positive and creative way.

American singer, Solange Knowles embarked on that journey when she launched her website – Saint Heron, an online platform devoted to the promotion of independent artists who on a regular day won’t have their songs or album make it on the market.

The platform seeks to create and bring into reality the visions of these artists who in some way have been neglected by society and not given the chance to express the beauty of their talents to a larger audience.

Solange quest to open up a free gate for these talented artists has given her this recognition and award setting an example for most influential role models in society to emulate in order to come up with avenues or channels to help others either the struggling ones with potentials or already made it ones who are falling off the market to be heard.

She was presented with the award by the very talented visual artst Kara Walker which she accepted and gave just five-word speech, “I got five on it”.

Big congratulations to her and let’s help make impacts in the life of people, it can be small or big for Little drops of water makes a mighty ocean.
