Its official the ladies have stolen every male trend under the sun. From tuxedos, shirts, ties and now the Batakari.  For those of you who have no idea what it is, well Batakari is a plaid shirt made from Kente fabrics which were originally worn by the men from the northern part of Ghana.

The trend has evolved and become so cool that even the Ghanaian government declared the first Friday of every month as National Batakari Day. Batakari not just a Ghanaian thing, no please! Trust fashionistas around the globe to get in on the trend.

Nigerian TV girl Eku Edewor shared this lovely photo of herself rocking the look

Ghanaian Style Blogger Priscilla gave the trend a personal touch by adding a cute belt and hat to match.

London fashion blogger Natasha Ndolovu also slayed in Batakari

Fashion Designer Bubu Ogisi switched things up by pairing the outfit with sneakers giving it a sporty twist.
