The media mogul, Oprah Winfrey, 64, sat down with the host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah at the Apollo Theater. In front of a live audience, the author of ‘Born A Crime’ – the book that talks about his upbringing to black mother and white father in South Africa.
Trevor revealed he did set out to write the book about his mother. But, during the process of writing, he realized the big role she and other people around him have played in his life.
Earlier this month, he announced that the book will be adapted into a film starring Hollywood A-list actress, Lupita Nyong’o. Trevor took time to praise his mother for bravely defying the government during apartheid in South Africa.
Oprah also interviewed Oscar-nominated writer and director of the hit movie ‘Get Out’ – Jordan Peele on the success of the movie.
