Anyone with a passion in photography is invited to enter and engage in the 2015 photo contest themed ‘August in Africa’. The Africa Centre is looking for striking, fun digital images to celebrate people, London, diversity – and their important connection to each other on the day of the festival. Entrants will have a chance to win numerous prizes:
Grand Prize: Lomography Deluxe camera, Premiere tickets to MTV Shuga, Africa Centre goody bag
1st and 2nd runners up: Lomography Deluxe camera, Africa Centre goody bag
How To Enter:-
Contestants may submit up to three (3) photographs, which they think best capture the spirit of ‘August in Africa’ on the day of the festival, submit via email to photo@africacentre.org.uk. They can also be posted on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #August in Africa 15; however, copies of the photographs should also be submitted via the email address above. Digital photographs must be submitted in a .jpeg, .jpg, .png or .gif format. Files submitted may not be larger than 10 MB.
Judging Committee:-
Photo entries will be judged based on their ability to capture the spirit of ‘August in Africa’, creativity and originality. Winners will be notified via the contact details provided by 7h August 2015 and arrangements will be made for them to receive their prizes. The Africa Centre may disqualify anyone who fails to respond to the notification within five working days.
